Approaching the holy month of Ramadan, the Malang Raya Representative of the Qodiriyah Naqsyabandiyah Thoriqoh Dhikr Council (MDTQN) of Benteng Suryalaya solemnly carried out a joint dhikr which was held at the Al Mubarok Mosque, Malang City Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing and Residential Areas Agency (DPUPRPKP), Jalan Bingkil, Malang City.
The event began with the reading of tahlil, reading of the holy verses of the Qur'an, reading of tasbih, reading of markobah, manaqib prayer/sholawat Bani Hasyim, sholawat Nabi, donations for orphans, remarks from the host, tausiyah, hidmat ilmiyah/amaliyah manaqib led by Ustadz Prof Dr H Djojok Soepardjo MLitt (MDTQN Benteng Suryalaya Pusat Surabaya).
This Manaqib dhikr activity is indeed carried out routinely and coincidentally this time it coincides with the momentum at the end of the month of Sya'ban before the holy month of Ramadan, and this activity also collaborates with the Al Mubarok mosque committee and involves local residents and the Cangkrukan Aremania Cursavud council with the hope that it can provide benefits and increase worship in welcoming this holy month of Ramadan.
Along with the distribution of assistance to orphans from representatives of the Islamic boarding school in the Malang Raya area, we also learned about the basics of Sufism from one of the representatives of the TQN Benteng Suryalaya Islamic boarding school, namely Prof. Dr. Djojok and his staff and wanted to share and provide encouragement to the orphans.
Manaqib is a form of religious and scholarly activity that has become institutionalized and ingrained in the culture of the majority of Indonesian Muslims, particularly among the Ikhwan Thariqah Qadiriyah Naqsabandiyah of the Suryalaya Islamic Boarding School. It is routinely held according to a predetermined schedule and takes place in manakiban and khataman assemblies.
